What Thrift Mistress does
Thrift Mistress monitors public secondhand listings and emails you scored alerts — the ones our AI thinks fit the hunts you described. We help you be early and specific. We don’t host the listings; every alert links out to the original source.
Free and Pro
The free plan gives you one hunt and a once-a-day digest of matching listings, delayed 24 hours.
Pro is a subscription: $19/month, or $149/year (four months free). It covers Pro alerts — sent within the hour of a matching listing posting — up to 10 concurrent hunts, deal scores with estimated real value, photo checks, and red-flag scam warnings. It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime from your account or by email; you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you’re not charged again.
Refunds
If you subscribe and change your mind, email support@thriftmistress.com within 7 days of your first charge. As long as we’ve sent you fewer than one instant alert, you get a full refund, no questions asked. (Once the product has done its job and alerted you, the charge stands — you can still cancel future renewals anytime.)
No guarantee you’ll get the item
We make you fast; sellers make decisions. Thrift Mistress does not guarantee that you’ll get any particular item, or any item at all. Availability, replies, and who gets the couch are entirely up to the people who post the listings. What we promise is speed and honest scoring, not an outcome.
Listings belong to their sources
The listings themselves belong to the sites and people who post them. We link out to those sources — we don’t republish their photos or their listing text. Please respect each source’s own terms when you follow a link and reach out.
Buy safely
Our red-flag warnings are honest, automated judgment calls — they catch a lot, but not everything, and a listing without flags is not a guarantee. Meet in public where you can, inspect before you pay, and never send deposits for items you haven’t seen. Transactions are between you and the seller; we’re not a party to them.
Acceptable use
Thrift Mistress is for your own hunting. Don’t resell or rebroadcast the alerts, scrape the service, share or resell access, or use it to build a competing product or a bulk data feed.
Ending an account
You can leave anytime — cancel in your account, or email support@thriftmistress.com and we’ll close your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that abuse the service or break these terms; if we terminate a paid account that hasn’t abused the service, we’ll refund the unused portion of what you’ve paid.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
